Armorduct’s Cable Tray, Trunking and Basket have achieved an E90 Fire Rating in accordance with DIN 4102-12 and were tested for a total of 120 minutes.
Whilst there is currently no dedicated “resistance to fire” standard for cable containment products, DIN 4102-12 represents the closest recognised alternative. This is a test for electric cable systems that are required to maintain circuit integrity, so is therefore written around and dependent on the cables themselves. However, containment products feature as a critical support mechanism as part of the cabling infrastructure.
After passing 90 minutes at 1,000°C and achieving the maximum fire rating of E90, the test was continued to 120 minutes with no product collapse.
Armorduct’s cable containment products were tested in accordance with DIN 4102-12 at FIRES notified Technical Assessment Body, which is managed in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17025 and EN ISO/IEC 17065.
