Armorduct Systems IP4X Cable Trunking complies with BS7671 IET wiring regulations – seventeenth edition amendment no.3 published 1st July 2015. All couplings of length to length and length to fitting must have a factory made sealing solution.
IP4X Ingress Protection dictates that a 1mm probe must not penetrate the trunking – BS EN 60529 degrees of protection provided by enclosures. Armorduct IP4X Trunking systems have been designed to eliminate the butt joints and ensure covers can only be removed by means of a tool or deliberate action.
Surfaces of system components which are likely to come into contact with cables during installation are inspected to ensure they shall not cause damage to the cables when installed correctly.
Screwed connections have been designed to withstand the mechanical stresses during the installation and normal use and will not cause damage to cables when correctly inserted.
Screwed connections are generally isometric threads fully compliant with tests in accordance of the standard.
